From June 30th to July 4th, the Occupy movement will convene the Occupy National Gathering in the vicinity of Philadelphia’s Independence Mall for a week of direct actions, movement building and the creation of a vision for a democratic future. The National Gathering will kick off with a massive march with Healthcare-Now! in solidarity with their fight for the right to health. On July 5th we will conclude by joining Guitarmy for a 99 mile march from Philadelphia to Wall Street in Lower Manhattan.

The People's Permit The Occupied Wall Street Journal
Permits? We don’t need no stinking permits, say the organizers of the Occupy National Gathering, scheduled for July 4 in Philadelphia.
We are gathered here in Philadelphia – America’s “cradle of liberty” – to assert our human rights in this supposed democracy. We are here to give meaning to the still unfulfilled promise that all of us are created equal. our only plans are to peaceably assemble, freely speak our minds, and openly debate the future of our movement and our world.
We refuse to seek a permit for our gathering because no piece of paper can guarantee that our fundamental rights will be respected. As has been demonstrated time and again, not even the Bill of Rights guarantees that we may speak or associate freely, or assemble peaceably, without government interference or outright repression. In the face of these realities, we contend that we, the people, ourselves must define and defend our liberties.

DHS hires DoD expert to coordinate interagency cyber efforts
The Homeland Security Department is adding yet another high-profile cyber expert to its staff.
Rosemary Wenchel, who has spent a majority of her career in the Defense Department working on cyber issues, moved to the National Protection and Programs Directorate as the new deputy assistant secretary for cybersecurity coordination, according to an email from DHS deputy under secretary for cybersecurity Mark Weatherford to staff obtained by Federal News Radio.
In her new role, Wenchel will use her long-time DoD experience to coordinate joint cybersecurity efforts between the two agencies, including the National Security Agency.
She also will oversee operations at the DHS-DoD Joint Coordination Element located at Fort Meade, Md.
Additionally, Wenchel will work with the DHS Science and Technology Directorate to make sure cybersecurity research and development efforts are coordinated with agency policy and operations.
Wenchel replaces Adm. Mike Brown, who retired in January.

Protesters Blast Wells Fargo Bonuses, Political Donations
About 40 protesters marched from Occupy MN's "People's Plaza" to the Wells Fargo center this morning to blast the bank.
The protesters were accompanied by Michele Bachmann, John Kline and Erik Paulsen imitators, who stood behind the protesters shaking their heads in vehement disagreement with what the protesters were saying.
The demonstration focused on the total bonuses paid to top Wells Fargo executives since 2008, the year of the bailouts, which amounts to $141,083,671 -- money the demonstrators suggested would've been better spent on schools, parks, Social Security and jobs.
Elise Kulzer, a young woman from Ham Lake, Minnesota, criticized big money's influence in politics.
Minnesota's congressional delegation: "Puppets for the 1%"?
"The notion that we're living in a democracy is a joke," Kulzer said."
